Hello! I’m Ale, an intuitive crocheter/knitter, Spanish teacher, and lover of all things handmade, which always make everything a little more magical.
I come from a family of teachers. I grew up seeing how teaching can open doors, but also observing how, sometimes, overly rigid methods can build walls. For years, as a Spanish teacher, I felt that something was missing in the classroom: the pause, the contact, and the excitement of creating.
Finland showed me that the best way to learn is not through methodical repetition, but through calmness. I realised that when our hands are busy knitting, cooking or writing, our minds relax, open up and flow. It is there, between each stitch and each turn, that language ceases to be a grammatical rule and becomes something alive.
About Suomi Soul Crochet
Suomi Soul was born from the wish to create a cozy space where every thread tells a story, to find balance. This place is not just a place to buy kits or Spanish courses; it is a space for emotional support. It is a refuge for active meditation where you can find silence and peace while learning something new.
Here, mistakes are not failures, they are part of the process, both in knitting and in language learning. I invite you to slow down, light a candle, and allow yourself to learn at a human pace.
